Get Ready for Entertainment as “It’s Happening…In SLO!”

Events Brochure and Website to Help Plan a Day or Evening in San Luis Obispo

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA – “It’s Happening…In SLO!” The City of San Luis Obispo recently released an eight-page brochure featuring events occurring in the city of San Luis Obispo from February 1st through June 30^th. The brochure was released on Saturday, January 29, 2011, in the San Luis Obispo Tribune. Copies are available at the San Luis Obispo Chamber Visitors’ Center, as well as hotels and businesses throughout San Luis Obispo. From arts and music, to sports and recreation, “It’s Happening…In SLO,” will help both residents and tourists plan out their day, evening, or weekend in the city.

Local organizations can add events by logging onto www.EventsSLO.org. This website includes a list of all the events featured in the brochure, and will be updated weekly with new events. Local restaurants and stores can also post coupons and specials. EventsSLO.org will link to both www.ShopSLO.org and www.DineSLO.org, allowing updates to stream to each website to plan a day or evening in San Luis Obispo.

ShopSLO and DineSLO were developed in an effort to support local retailers and restaurants, and to provide residents and visitors with a shopping and dining directory for San Luis Obispo. Within the San Luis Obispo city limits, merchants are encouraged to create a free account and provide as much information about their store as possible to promote themselves. With the addition of the brochure and EventsSLO.org, county locals and visitors alike will always be able to find a place to shop, somewhere to eat and something to do.
